CPLL is training and certifying the next generation of RETAIN Parental Leave Coaches using their evidence-based, data-driven, and heart-centered framework developed over the last fifteen years. Our coaches need practice, and you might need coaching through this major life and career transition (we love a good win-win)!

Sessions will take place between May 14th – May 21st and May 28 – June 4, 2024.

Moms & Dads: Transition to Working Parenthood With Greater Ease & Clarity

With this coaching, you’ll be set up to avoid the common pitfalls of parental leave and discover your unique transition strengths so you can plan with clarity and increase your chance of transition success (however you define success!).

This coaching opportunity includes taking the Parental Leave Transition Assessment (PLTA), the only evidence-based assessment tool designed to help you to identify and understand the unique assets you possess and liabilities you face during your leave transition. After you take the PLTA and receive your customized PLTA Report you will be matched with a RETAIN Coach-in-Training to discuss your results, gain greater self-awareness and focus, then work to create your leave plan with CPLL’s templates to guide you. 

These sessions are free with your commitment to attend both sessions and provide feedback through a survey at the end. We set it up this way to help you create a smooth, enjoyable and sustainable transition to working parenthood while helping newly trained coaches put theory into practice in the real world as they finalize their certification. And we’ve found over the years that it is harder to prioritize time commitments for free events.

  • Parental Leave Transition Assessment (PLTA)
  • PLTA Customized Report + Personalized Feedback and Recommendations
  • Two (2) One-on-One Parental Leave Coaching sessions (1.5 hours and 1 hour) with a RETAIN Coach-in-Training (who is supervised and supported)
  • 3-Phase Leave Planning Template + Guided Next Steps

Sessions will take place between May 14th – May 21st and May 28 – June 4, 2024. 


  • What can I expect?

    • Upon selection, you are introduced to your coach. They will share the Parental Leave Transition Assessment (PLTA) for you to complete ahead of your first session. You will then schedule your first 1.5 hour session. 

  • What is the time commitment?

    • Plan for 3-4 hours.

      • 30-60 minutes to complete the PLTA
      • 1.5 hours for the first session between May 14 – May 21
      • 1 hour for the second session between May 28 – June 4
      • 10-15 minutes for the feedback survey

  • What happens if I need to reschedule?

    • We completely understand that life happens. As long as you are responsive and working with your coach, you are welcome to find a new time that works for both of you. We do ask that all sessions be completed by June 30th at the latest.
